I'm sorry but I'm glad because there were too many, too close together and the ones owned by Magic Johnson were the worst.

  1. Their biggest mistake was to try to take on the McDonalds empire. They should have stayed with a few of their best ideas instead of having such a huge menu. Their prices are outrageous anyway.

  2. Gas has become everyones priority, so starbucks high price coffee is OUT! Also there are other places to get less expensive good tasting coffee.

  3. i dont really care... their are too many.. their are two in the same plaza by my house

  4. I feel sorry for the employees but I am not a big starbucks fan. I prefer dunkin donuts coffee. I think starbucks is overpriced.

  5. That's horrible i <3 starbucksss

  6. I think it's a sign people may be coming to their senses about spending $4 on a cup of coffee. That, and the downward spiral our economy is on.

  7. You are right there are too many of them too close together.

I have seen some places where there is one inside of a store another in the same shopping complex and yet another within a block.  While this may be convenient it is over saturation.  And often surrounded a small owner operated shop.  The ones in the stores should have been a spin off company featuring Starbucks coffee.

So it is a good thing, and perhaps fewer of the Mom & Pop stores will be forced to close.

  8. I don't give a care because I only go to Peet's and sometimes Green Beans.

  9. Well their other 4000 stores should still serve well.

  10. starbucks green tea cold with whip cream is awsome try it....

  11. It's about time.

  12. well it shows the economy is going down and more people are holding onto their money.

  13. THATS HORRIBLE

  14. CRAZY, i love their cappuccinos and i also like them closing some stores because their coffee is HORRIBLE !

  15. They were no compitition to Dunkin Donuts

  16. Don't care. They're everywhere, and besides, the "coffee-flavored fru-fru drink" fad is over. About time, too.

I've never understood you Starbucks people. Instead of investing in a coffeemaker that can have a cup (or a pot) ready for you when you wake up, you pay ridiculous prices for these silly drinks with silly names, ordered in sizes that just reek of snobbishness. Did you feel better about yourselves because you were seen with that tan and green cup? WHAT WAS THE DRAW? The coffee was mediocre at best, and the dropout with the twenty piercings actually had the gall to put out a tip jar.

Another plus to stores closing? You won't see stupid postings in here asking "What's your favorite Starbucks coffee" and have a bunch of retards name off drinks that might only be loosely related to coffee, like "skinny mochaccino with caramel splash and a soupçon of dryer lint."

I'm all for capitalism, but Starbucks is coffee at it's laziest. In reality it is a hangout for upper middle class teenyboppers, leftist college students wearing Ché t-shirts, and Volvo driving mini-ute Marxists with faux leather patches on their corduroy jackets. Good riddance to the first 600. Hopefully more to come.

You know what I'd like? A COFFEE SHOP that served good coffee. Dunkin' Donuts served superb coffee, but they went the Starbucks route. Pity.

  17. I feel badly for people who will lose their jobs. Starbucks provided reasonable wages and benefits like health insurance.
