How Do You Fix A Computer Virus?

this is how it is it

it makes my computer real

slow causing me not to be able to do anything

Okay, first of all, if you do have anti virus software, then please ensure that it is up to date, and run a scan within it.

If you don't have anti virus software, I advise that you visit the website www.download.com and search for AVG - which is free anti virus software.  

Once your computer has been scanned, hopefully it will pick up on the problem. If not, then you will have to take your computer to a technician.

The best way to prevent this from happening in the future, is to get a good firewall (which basically will stop nasty viruses and the like from getting to your pc) - you can also download these at www.download.com - I advise Zonelabs free, which is also free to use and download.

Be much more specific. Scan your computer with Avast, (avast.com), and then tell us what the virus name is. AFter you scan with avast, try deleting the virus. Then, go to your Internet Browser, and press Tools>Internet Options>General Tab>Delete and Delete cookies, temporary internet files, everything.

It's simple...either you can take it in for repair, or you can download a anti-virus program and have it clean your hard drive and get rid of the virus...

Some good programs are Norton Anti-Virus and CCleaner

Restart your computer and keep pressing F8 repeatedly untill a menu appears (just keep pressing F8 as soon as the computer switches on)

In this menu move up to "safe mode" and press enter.

When the computer starts it will as if you want to restore your computer to an earlier date, do this. It will guide you through the rest, restore your PC to about 2-3 weeks before today. Hope this helps :)
