  1. one way that really helps is doing an indian run

    in order to do that you need to get five friends and run in a line and the person in the back sprint up the the front etc. just do that for a mile. It really helps. and good luck


  2. The major thing you need to gain speed, is the right technique. This may take years to master, even the elite sprinters still work on their technique, focusing on such things as hip position, leg speed, opening up through the shoulders etc.

    You will need to train, so your body can get use to running at faster speeds and getting a coach will give you the feedback you need to improve and also provide you with the correct training to increase your speed, whether that be focusing your training on the ATP, lactic acid or aerobic energy system.

  5. overall, to increase your overall distance- run long time and short bursts of full speed

    increase speed in oh say the 40 yard dash. you have to run your fastest in short bursts and practice the 40 yard distance
