How Do You Unclog a Nozzle on a Spray Bottle?

Question

I have thrown away so many spray bottles because of a clogged nozzle. How can I prevent it from getting clogged? And how can I unclog it once it becomes clogged?

I use the spray bottles to mix my concentrated cleansers. Water is what I use to dilute the cleansers.

~~Hold the sprayer with tongs and flush the nozzle and the attached hose with very hot water.~~

Hi darrin,

Taking the spray handle out and putting it in hot water may help, as well as pumping the clean hot water through it.  The best thing would be to clean it out each use by spraying clean water through it.  The professional sprayers in the cleaning aisle at HD have worked well for me as long as I don't use any type of granular material in the bottle.
