  1. with your left hand

  2. YouTube it.

So complicated to explain on here.

  3. you shouldn't be starting on a 250

  4. wicked easy, you just need to practice. you hold in the clutch anytime you are changing gears. when you take off, slowly release the clutch and accelerate on the throttle. then when you feel that the bike is struggling to go faster, you pull in the clutch and kick the shifter up to go up a gear then once you have shifted you let go of the clutch. and just keep doing it whenever you feel the bike is struggling to keep up with you. also hold it in when you shift down too. you also use the clutch whenever you dont want power going to the back tire, when it is held in there is no power going to the tire. i always use it to slow down better and around turns and whatnot... good luck, i LOVE LOVE LOVE dirtbiking!! so much fun!! be careful not to hit the throttle too much at first or you will pop a wheelie, unless thats what you're going for!

  5. Pull the clutch lever with your left hand to disengage the engine from turning the rear wheel.  You do this whenever you want to brake, and whenever you want to shift.

  6. (this is my answer to a previous question)

    theres usually 6 gears

    1st

    half click up is NEUTRAL

    2nd

    3rd

    4th

    5th

    6th

you start in neutral.. start the bike and pull in the clutch and click down to first. now when your in 1st you give it gas and let go of the clutch slowly (if you give it to much gas you'll wheelie) then when your riding in 1st and you want to switch to 2nd you pull the clutch in, let off the throttle, and click up to second all in one motion (making sure you go past neutral when your going from 1st to 2nd) and then when you go from 2nd, 3rd, ext. you do the same motion (pull the clutch in, let off the throttle, and click up to a higher gear).. when you come to a stop pull in the clutch and down shift to first. and when your riding down a hill pull the clutch in and coast

-you kinda have to be there with them to teach them but i hope this helped

  7. pull the clutch in (squeeze to the handle bar), shift up or down or in to neutral (using the gear shifter).

once you have shifted appropriately, give a little gas (or a lot depending on what you are trying to do) and let the clutch out carefully.  Unless you want to dump the clutch and do a wheely or take off really fast, don't pop the clutch (release it quickly:  dump, pop, drop, etc).  Just let it out kind of slow.  Over time you'll get faster at this as you learn to control the throttle and the bike better.

  8. pull in the clutch, put the bike in first, rev the engine to i'ts highest rpms, dump the clutch out and hang on.....

rofl.. ok don't do that, atleast not yet... i'm wiling to bet you're alot more intimidated by a clutch then you really ought to be... it's pretty simple and easy to get used to... within a few hours of riding it'll become second nature and you won't even think about it really.

  9. very carefully
