How Do i stop my eyeliner smudging?

Question

I've used a few different brands of eyeliner from shu uemura [which i hated] to rimmel but i also have the problem that it smudges without me touching my eyes and it can be embarassing. does anyone have any tips?

use Dior waterproof eyeliner! works amazing!!!

apply a little bit of water to an eyeliner brush.if you have a pencil then put a little bit of water around the pencil

semsa is right. my friend alanna has the same problem we've tried loads of diff ones on her n the best was most definitly avon.

i think the best type of eyeliner is the gel stuff u get in pots and apply with a proper eyeliner brush. it's defo worth investing in at some point but in the mean time try using a pale primer which the make up will stick to (i like lemon aid by benefit) or a bit of eyeshadow that matches the colour of your liner (again, best applied with a proper eyeliner brush). i do this n it seems to absorb the liner if it goes on kinda wet looking (and looks awesome if it's black!)

I wear a lot of eyeliner, and used to have the exact same problem.

Right here is what I do:

I use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion on my lids, to stop the eyeliner on my upper lids to crease and smudge.

I apply the eyeliner ( I use a Boujois liner stylo pencil)

And then I use a liquid liner on top of the pencil liner, I find that this prevents smudging. (Boujois again)

get smudge proof eyeliner

liquid or pencil.

Liquid- just make sure it dries well before you go near your eyes again.

pencil- put powder under your eye. and when you apply your liner let it rest for a minute, wipe under your eyes- add a little more foundation then your powder.

Eyeliner can smugde quite easily tho- i just make a concious effort to wipe under my eyes every now and then- nobody will even notice.

i use the cheap $2 ones from cvs and it doesn't smudge at all

umm the brand is Milani

iv also heard if you put the same color of eyeshadow over the eyeliner it stops the smudging

i use eyeliner from avon it is very good and not smudges try to use it

Pencil eyeliner ALWAYS smudges on my eyes, no matter if it's waterproof or not. First I use a concealer brush with my bare minerals and make a base all around my eyes and on my eyelids. Then I use Rimmel professional liquid eyeliner on the top eyelid starting about 1/4 of the way from the inside corner of my eye and extend it to slightly past the outer corner of my eye. If I want eyeliner on the bottom I apply small dots in between my eyelashes so it looks like a continuous line, I have a lot of trouble applying eyeliner on the bottom because I have huge lashes so I don't usually bother. Doing my eyeliner this way, I can actually sleep in it and just touch it up the next morning by filling in the gaps where it came off if needed (I can have a really hectic schedule). This is the only way I can get eyeliner to stay on without smudging below my eyes after about 4 hours.

I had the same problem. If you put powder under your eyes the eyeliner cannot go down because the powder stops it. : )
