How Do think The New Players for the Rangers gotten During the Free Agency Period will impact next year?!?!??!

With Wade Redden, Dmitri Kalinin, Markus Naslund, Patrick Rissmiller, and Arron Voros will affect the Rangers Next Season.... Are The Rangers Cup Material now after rebuilding the team

Well, the team is pretty different than it has been... but I'm cautiously optimistic, heh.

Our defense, while it is still incomplete, seems greatly improved. Redden and Kalinin will help our transition game greatly, and will help with our speed. Getting rid of Malik and Backman is fine... Tyutin will be missed. I'm a little concerned that our defense is too soft, and it's still missing some players (we have Staal, Girardi, Redden, Kalinin, Roszival... even if sanguinetti or baranka comes up, we still need 2 more solid NHL-caliber defensemen.)

Our forwards seem decent... I'm okay with Jagr and Straka leaving; I felt that Jagr was lazy at times (which trickled down to the whole team), and Straka wasn't as much of a force as he should have been. Avery will definitely be missed. Zherdev seems to be a good pick up, and hopefully effort will not be an issue with him. Fritsche seems good, too, and Naslund too. Between them, hopefully we will have some wingers that can finish what our good centers (Gomez, Drury, Dubinsky...) do. That's what we were missing last year.

Overall, our team is not done yet, but I'm optimistic. I would like a stay-at-home, hard-hitting defenseman, an agitator, and another scoring winger... but I feel like this is a drastically improved team that may be able to get passed the second round this year.

i think that they have greatly improved throughout the off season, but i still think theyre lacking a stand-up defensman who can take out the body. i wish they signed brooks orpik. he would have been a great addition

I think the Ranger will improve some. But not enough to win the SC. The west is way too strong, and there are other east teams stronger too. The Rangers are my second team, but the reality is they are not SC material yet.

i think we stand a good shot at the cup next year. Jagr will be missed in the playoffs, but Naslund is going to be a good aqcuisition
