How Do u cure a broken bone on the sims 2 pets DS game?!?!? HELP?

See I put the bandages on and i make them stay in the kennel for all the days they are here so the fracture won't get any worse... but when there owner comes its still broken!!! WHATS GOING ON!

Try putting on a neck cone along with the bandages so he wont bite at the injury. It takes three days for the pet to heal.
