  1. 1.. shatters just like fiberglass.

  2. No one knows.  Because crash tests are done on stock, economical cars.  No car comes with carbon fiber stock.

  3. Here's a production car with a stock carbon-fiber carbody in an accident..  Not sure what is the collision speed though:  http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/07/world...

It appears the other two cars (the Mercedes and the Camry) involved in the crash sustained more body damage than the carbon fiber car.  :-P

  4. it depends on what kind of carbon fiber your talking about.

dry carbon is the best. its what they use on race cars/ high end cars. and they do well in crash test.  id say they do 3-4 on crash test( if 1 is low and 5 is high).

if your talking about carbon fiber hoods and such ppl use to mod there cars with. most brands use wet carbon and is mostly for looks.  most are fiberglass with a layer of carfon fiber "glued" onto it with epoxy and is not that strong.  safty in crashes is more about the frame and such, not the body panels.  steel body panels are like paper.  your can go up to almost any car and punch the hood/fenders and they dent.

  5. 1 lmfao

  6. not good. 1. it will shatter
