How Does The Nokia N800 Internet Tablet Work?

I am thinking of buying one. I know that it can work either via wifi or by a bluetooth device such as a mobile phone. What I want to know is do I have to have an internet package on the bluetooth phone that connects the device? Also the phone I want to connect is a 3G handset (I have both the Skype phone and the Viewty) does this make a difference?

I was considering to buy this phone too:.... till I found hot its not a phone!! u can't call people!! bummer coz It looks so cool its kind of like amino computer thats why its called the n800"tablet" not simply nokia n800.

Hello. I have a Nokia N800 and its a great device. You can "pair" it to your mobile phone using Bluetooth and use the phones internet connection  (this will cost money on your phone bill). Connecting to a 3G handset will mean that your internet browsing on the N800 will be a lot faster (but not as fast as wifi)

I mostly use my N800 at home and work via Wifi, and there are many many places now with free wifi available (cafes, bars, restaurants and so on).
