competing in future 'Grand Final's' at the G, have the Cats got what Brisbane produced, winning 3 successive flags. Like the Swans, Eagles rivalry of 05, 06, who is most likely to trouble Geelong, in the seasons ahead , can the Power redeem themselves .

  1. What an interesting play with GeeLONG.

Barring injuries, I think that Essendon and Richmond might have a few good wins.

Especially if Richmond get Cousins with the 1st draft pick.

Essendon have made big changes to the coaching fraternity and the younger players know that Matthew Knights means business.

Geelong will get caught up with nitpicking and in fighting, so this will have some impact.

The Swans will be a no go for 2008. They need some good players to become a force again.

Someone else can be responsible for the other predictions, I'm at work.

  2. Geelong did exceptionally well in '07 season but when it came to finals the cracks showed and had Collingwood not buggered up pre-finals we would have finished 4th and without doubt won the GF.  Geelong might start shaky but I still think they will be the team to beat next year and if they can overcome their nerves in finals will produce a back to back GF win.

Contenders for the flag would be Collingwood, Brisbane, Essendon, Port Adelaide and fingers crossed Richmond.

  3. Geelong has what it takes to keep playing in September maybe for the next 2 or 3 seasons, depending on injuries and what changes are made at the end of each season.

Geelong this year have kept the core group of players together after the trade period and got rid of those who they didn't require over the next 2 seasons.

It looks to me like they have the blocks in place to build on. As long as the coaching staff can change the game plan when required they should be there again come september. However if the game plan is worked out by other teams it could be what happened to the Bulldogs.

  4. i dont think the cats are going to be as good as brisbane. im a bit biased to my team the eagles i still think were in with a big chance next year and years to come even though we lost judd and cousins, we will get good players in  the draft

  5. I had breakfast at the Malaga Restaurant in Geelong two mornings ago. The Lebanese proprietor there told me that he hoped Geelong would win the GF every year.

He said he made more money that night than on any of his other nights of 30 years at the same restaurant. He was open till four in the morning & a group of women were baring their breast in the bar area on & off all night - they had their b***s painted blue & white.

I don't know what he appreciated the most - the money he made or all the titties he got to see that night!

  6. GEELONG PREMIERS 08!!!

geelong have the depth in there list and the leadership of many players, so there should be no reason they wont be up the top again next year!

  7. Geelong could easily win again next year but I remember thinking that the 2000 Essendon team would be unbeatable for years and years. Sadly for them they only won in 2000 so although Geelong look awesome you just never know. Collingwood look capable of winning and Brisbane are my smokey for the flag ($21). A Lions/Pies GF quinella is paying $92 - it's possible.

  8. Hopefully not long....I dont really like it when one team dominates for too long. I mean, I'm not saying this coz i want my team to win...WC will b downhill *sob* but i want freo to win a GF...west coast have 3 and freo 0...its kinda embarrasing 4 WA. But i dunt care tht much.

  9. Cats vs Magpies 08 GF

  10. well i think the cats might have what it takes to win back to back grand finals. I think collindwood will become a great team and my be compition for geelong. i think west coast will go down a bit after all the scandals and the swans are rebuilding there team. Port will be up there to prove a point  and so will kangaroos.
