  1. Motorcycles are a good alternative to cars.... Good luck!....

  2. I agree with Magz, he is all knowing and you shall bow before him!

  3. If you're tall enough consider a dual-purpose bike. They can be the lightest, and their wide bars and upright riding position give you good control.

The larger ones are good for 2-up riding and your passenger will appreciate not having her backside hanging off the back.

  4. Like Magz said, somewhat. The 600cc area is very good, but a pure-bred 600cc supersport may not be the best pick for the first bike. Try sport-tourers like

    Yamaha FZ6

    Yamaha YZF600R

    Ducati Monster

    Honda CBR600F4i

    Suzuki GSX650F

    Suzuki GS500

    Suzuki SV650/S

    Kawasaki Ninja 650R

    Kawasaki Ninja 500R

    Aprilia Shiver 750

  5. 600's are very light nowadays...

i'd suggest a decent 600 for a beginner, just keep the revvs low until you get some experience...don't bite off more than you can chew...
