I want to buy a lcd sony bravia 32' tv. The price at best buy is for $685.99. Their competitor is offering 50 dollars off from any item that is priced 300 to 700 dollars. My goal is to haggle best buy to match the price plus take off 30 dollars to make the total to come to 600 dollars. What are some ways I can convince them to meet my demand to not only match the price but to take an extra 30 dollars off for being a loyal shopper?

  1. write down the model # and price then co to circuit city and tell them what best buy is selling it for. Then tell them you will give them 600.00 and you will be surprised.

  2. tell them you were able to come across a bigger bravia for cheaper earlier in the year, but it was stolen and you are looking to purchase that bravia for 650 and that another competitor is offering $50 off items 300 to 700.

  3. Just be honest with them. Tell them you'll give them $600 cash right now fr the monitor. You'd be surprised. Check out Costco as well. They negotiate too. Everything is negotiable these days.

  4. I use to work in retail, they wont do anything unless you have proof.  Bring in the catalog or a print out or something.
