IN USA, you can call 1-800 USA Rail and Julie, automated message will ask you, "If you need to train statis information, you said, "static." and she will ask you to identify train # of Amtrak.

For the UK you can use National Rail Enquiries (www.nationalrail.co.uk) and show arrivals/departures. For Amtrak, use www.amtrak.co.uk. Can't help for Indian Railways.
