How Is Basic training at Fort Sill?

My boyfriend just arrived at Fort Sill and I wanna know what he'll be going through. I read some stuff about the phases but I would love to hear from someone who experienced it first hand.

its ok the first week he will be at the 95th thats reception.there he will be given a smart card with 250.00$ on it and he has to pay for his first haircut and he will also have to buy other esentials as well. after that they will test his eyes if he needs glases he will get them they will check his dental if he needs any immediate dental work they will do it then ,then he will get his first series of many shots and take an aids test.then after the week of the 95th he then goes to basic.basic is fun if he can cope with drill sgts waking him up at 0430 to conduct pt.and thats 7 days a week.the phases are as follows the first week is red and red phase you get no priviledges until you can prove you can work as a team once they can do that then white phase and white phase you are expected to do things automatically w/out being told to.then when you can prove that then blue phase and thats when he will be expected to always maintain his military beiring at all times even when not in uniform.then comes the gauntlet at the end of basic if he can complete the gauntlet he will be able to war his beret.i hope this helps..

My boyfriend has been there since the 1st of July.  So far he hasn't done anything very rigorous according to his letters.  His first week there was just orientation and getting all of his gear assigned to him and then he was "shipped across the tracks" which means assigned to a training battalion.  That is when he was given an address to where we can write to him and he usually calls home on Sunday afternoons.  So far the things he's done that I know of are; entering the gas chamber, rifle range exercises, marching for 3 miles and a few other things that I can't think of.  If you have anymore questions or just want to talk, email me.
