35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

If I am not mistaken, I believe you are referring to John the Baptist in prison.  Do you remember that John baptized Jesus in the Jordan River?  Do you also remember that when Jesus was approaching John exclaimed "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world"?  John believed wholeheartedly that Jesus was the Savior at that point, but when he was thrown into prison, he began to be afraid and started doubting.  So he sent his disciples to Jesus for reassurment.

  6. He said do not look your own circumstances, see what is happening around you. He said that to John the Baptist.
