How Long Break Working At Tesco?

Hi i work at tesco and am going to working an 11 hour shift so i would like to know how long the break i will get is?

when i worked there it was and hour and a half for 9 hours and i think its the same for 11

I used to work at Tescos. Usually you are not allowed to work more than eight hours straight, however I don't know how much you will get for 11 hours, but in an 8 hour shift you get 15mins, half an hour for lunch, and then another 15 mins. So I reckon for 11 hours you will get another 15 mins on top of that. Ask your line manager or manager they will tell you exactly what you will get as they will have it on there rota for the day.

In addition to your normal breaks for a standard 8 hour shift you are entitled to an additional 10/15 minute break, which depending on how your shift is scheduled, you can conbine with your usual 2nd 10 minute break, that is at the discretion of your line manager though.

Ask your boss. If you aren't happy with the answer, ask your union rep. Someone close to me works for Tesco and they seem very happy to conveniently be blissfully unaware of many contraventions of working time regulations and Health & Safety measures. Unfortunately, most of the staff seem to be unaware they are being exploited too.

i used to work at boots they told me after 4 hours u are entitled to a 15 min break. i would have thought in 11 hrs u would be entitled to a 30/45 min break and a couple of tea breaks but best to ask yr supervisor.
