about an hour if it's in the sun and if the sun's shining is consistant. If not, it may take more or less for the melting to occur and you have to add the "extra" factor in. Like which kind of Blizzard did you get from Dairy Queen?

A real blizzard can last up to weeks. It depends on where you live and the average amount of snow you get each year. But with the whole global warming thing, no one may ever know. Check your local news station, they can estimate (although sometimes not well) how long the blizzard will last in case you think you need to go out and buy some more food to last you a week.

In order for a snowstorm to be classified as a blizzard there has to be sustained winds at least 56km/h (35mph) and visibility less than 0.4km (0.25mi.) for at least 3 hours. So has to last at least 3 hours. Most only last about several hours.
