Since A.J. Foyt was driving...... he was a hometown driver and my Dad knew him so we would watch the races.  Then I married a man that lived in Virginia and Friday & Saturday races were everything to them... Bristol, Norton...

About 22 years straight now.

I started watching in 2002 and noticed that a rookie  in the #48 was a really good driver and I became his fan. After that I found out that he was Gordon's protege and then I knew why he was so good.

1995...after I got to meet Dale Sr. and talk with him.   After I watched, learned and understood the game I was addicted!!

Kyle Busch is my favorite.  I kept my eye on him at Hendricks and thought "man he needs to get aways from that team"... And sure enough when Hendrick booted him to the curb for Jr that gave Kyle a better chance and better equipment and now look at that boy fly!!   I think, if Casey Mears can get in a good ride then he will take off as well.

Started watching in 2000, saw Dale Senior put a whoopin' on everone at Talladega. I then payed more attention in 2001, where I chose Gordon. What got me started? Playing EA Sports' NASCAR '99 for the Nintendo 64... good times they were.

Remember last year at Dover when carl edwards won? Yeah, that was my first race. But I know all the history of it. you would think I've been watching it since 1990 or something. But nope. Just last year, if you can call the last 9 races a first year. 2008 is my real first year.

Since I bought my first tv back in the dark ages of first job.  Before that it was live at various tracks or radio when I was younger than the drivers nearly 60 years ago.  Now I am older than all of them and not likely to outgrow my interest.  Current favorite is Earnhart second generation, but Senior is still the man.

since like 7am pacific yesterday (saturday) morning, when brickyard qualifying began. it's a little past 3am sunday now and the nationwide replay just ended, so 20 hours...

(i got to see rowdy win twice tonight!!! so by my count he led 394 laps out of 200!!!)
