  1. It will usually have one opening paragragh, three body paragraghs, and one conclusion which is about 1 to 2 pages long.

  2. 5 paragraphs

Introductory (Catches the readers attention and gives the points you want to discuss)

3 Body (three things you would like to discuss)

Conclusion (basic summary of the paper)

  3. well a basic essay should contain a minimum of three paragraphs consisting on the intro/introduction body and the conclusion. the intro is usually a minimum of 5 sentences the intro is also known as the thesis statement. the body should also have at least 5 sentences or more if you want. finally the conclusion should be your last 5 sentences to finish and recap the important things.

  4. I'm entering my second year of high school, and for me, a basic essay is at least five paragraphs.

  5. You need to ask your teacher. Every teacher interprets the words "basic essay" in their own way. In high school one of my english teachers interpreted it as 2 pages, my science teacher said it was 1 page, and my math teacher said it was 1 paragraph. You need to ask each teacher if they do not specify a length as to how long of a paper they would like. Most instructors give a length very clearly spelled out including formating if you ask.

  6. usually a page. dont worry, if you have trouble, your teacher will help. just tell your teacher that you dont have much experience writing long papers like that. ask him for pointers and help.

  7. Usually a teacher will give students an outline of what he/she expects for an essay.  You'll know from your teacher.  Don't worry.

  8. 5 paragraphs, usually it goes like this:

    introductory paragraph:

outline what your essay will be about, talk about why you're writing it, introduce the next 3 paragraphs, etc. your first two sentences should be a Topic Sentence and a Clarifying Sentence: Topic Sentence is the point that you're trying to prove with the essay. Clarifying Sentence explains why. example-

Gophers are good. this is because they're cute and furry.

    you get the point.

    3 body paragraphs:

make your point in 3 different ways. this is the bulk of the essay, put all your hard facts here. this is the main point.

    concluding paragraph:

sum it all up, restate your intro paragraph and say why your body paragraphs prove it. just drive the intro paragraph home. leave the reader with something to think about.

MLA formatting: They'll give you a shpiel about 1 inch margins and standards and all that stuff. if you need to slack off, use microsoft word. set the margins to 1.1"- it'll get you an extra line or two down the page and your teacher probably won't notice. set the double spacing to 2.1 spacing, same deal. make a big header, like really big, and put lots of space under it. blame it on the double spacing. also make your name part really spaced out. that way you only have to write 2/3 of an essay! remember though, it's what you say that counts. filling it out with words won't really help, some teachers prefer if your essays are concise. have fun in high school, and remember you're just a freshman :P best of luck to you :)

  9. at least a page

  10. A basic essay in highschool is about 5 paragraphs.

1st paragaph: Introduction to the essay

2nd-4th paragraphs: Body paragraphs, these just describe in detail what   you wrote in the intro paragraph

5th paragraph: Conclusion of the essay, the end of the essay
