  1. 40 mins daily

get a heart rate (HR) monitor (strap & watch)

work out your max HR (220 - age)

then work out 70% of that and try to run for atleast 15 mins at that high rate.

    that'll do it

also, don;t forget doing heavy ab exs

  2. if you want to burn fat, concentrate more on intensity rather than how long the workout is. doing a challenging interval (anaerobic) workout for 20 minutes will have a greater after burn than jogging for 40 minutes. lifting weights and increasing muscle mass also will help raise your basal (resting) metabolism, since you can't go to the gym everyday. this way you'll burn more calories on off-days compared to doing light aerobic workouts. also, considering the fact that you seem a bit underweight, your big belly maybe be a sign of protein deficiency. you should consult your doctor.

  3. It is not possible to spot reduce fat in just one part of your body, like your belly. In order to lose belly fat you will need to lose the fat all over your body.

In short you may need to start:

    1) Eating healthier, this means:

    Eat smaller meals

    Eat more meals a day

    Don’t starve yourself

    Eat more vegetables and fruit

    Drinks more water

Less sugars and empty calories (less soft drinks, cakes, cookies)

Switch to whole wheat versions of your bread and pasta, brown rice instead of white rice

    2) Exercising:

Forget crunches, crunches work your ab muscles but they dont burn enough calories to lose belly fat, if you do hundreds of crunches daily you will have great abs but you wont see them under your belly fat.

Prefer full body exercises they burn the most calories and increase you metabolism for a few hours after your workout.

Get a training partner or a fitness trainer, a very worthwhile investment - of the money you save on junk food for example =)

Try also to reduce stress and get enough sleep. Both of these are related to weight gain and emotional eating.

  4. There is only one way to lose fat, burn more calories than you eat.  Whether you lose that fat in your belly, thighs, back, or neck is pretty much up to your body and where it wants to take those fat stores from.  The only way to spot reduce is lipo.

How long should you be on the treadmill?  It depends on how much you want to lose and how much your eating.  If you belong to a gym, ask one of the trainers.

Also, if your belly seems disproportionately large, see a doctor.  There may be something in there other than fat that you need to know about.

  5. my friend has been trying this for 2 years and she says 30 minutes (half hour) every time you go on there!

you can't have 15 minutes then get off then do another it has to be 30 minutes straight!

    well good luck!
