  1. dumb question, you'll have good day's and bad day's

      aching legs, cramps, blisters, etc

21/2 miles an hour on a good day.

      your talking approx 3,000 miles.

  2. LOL. why would you want to do that? Im sure it would take WEEKS because you couldnt possibly walk without stopping to use the bathroom, eat, sleep, rest. Or you would collapse.

  3. Have you looked at a MAP of North America, lately ?

That is about 3,000 MILES. If you could manage  an "average " of 25 miles a day, that trip would take more than  120 days, if you walked every day.

    Jim B. Toronto,

  4. The people ahead of me are all talking like it was a flat piece of ground between Florida and B.C.  It isn't!! The 600 or so miles through the Rockies alone will take one devil of a lot of stamina and time. They will not be the only hills and mountains you will encounter. If this is something you are seriously planning on doing - first see a shrink to find out why you want to abuse yourself this much and then plan your trip to take the least elevated roads and highways through all the mountain areas. It might add miles but it will save wear and tear on your legs and feet. Sometimes the long way home is the faster way!

When Terry Fox started his Marathon of Hope, he ran 26 miles a day. From April 12, 1980 when he started in Newfoundland until September 1, 1980 when cancer forced him to quit, he ran 3.339 miles to Thunderbay, Ontario. That is still a long way from B.C. and a longer way if the end point in B.C is not the B.C./Alberta border but Vancouver. So how many miles a day can you walk?

  5. days more like weeks.

P.S. dumb question, but at least i get 2 points

  6. It depends. According to Google Maps, Rockledge to Vancouver, British Columbia would take 2 days (nonstop) and 3,315 miles. Thus, if you drive for 12 hours a day (9am-9pm for example), you would need a good 4 days.

  7. 32 days if you maintain avg. speed of between 3 and 4 miles per hour, every hour, every day.  I think.  but i'm no math wizard.  And that's from Cocoa to Penticton.

  8. It would probably take around 40 or 50 days if you were pretty dilligent, its only a little over 2000 miles

  9. Are you insane? that's an incredibly long walk! I'd say about 3 months or so. Lol.
