  1. When my son was first born it took him about 5-10 Min's to get a good burp out of him. Now that he's 6 months, I always nurse him laying down and as soon as I pick him up he lets out a good burp on his own. Burps like an old man

  2. Usually 1-3 minute(s).

If they haven't burped by 5 minutes tops, odds are they don't have to. =)

    Good luck <3

  3. My four breastfed children almost never needed burped.  In fact, it was almost impossible to get them to burp.  I did have one child that would occasionally get a bit fussy a little bit after nursing.  Then, I picked her up, patted her back for less than 10 seconds, and she was taken care of.

  4. until they burp>?

or do you mean how long until my baby burps?...he usually burps on his own.

When he was just born, I could be sitting there for about 15-20 minutes sometimes. Now he just gets them up on his own...He'll be 5 months next week.

  5. There are 2 answers here.  :-)

Timewise per burp... depends upon the age of the baby but typically until they burp.  As they got older I was able to wiggle their tummy around and hear the gas bubble and know if they had a burp in there.

Agewise, pretty much until they can burp on their own.  I found that time was around the same time they learned to sit up on their own.  I could sit them in an exersaucer and they'd burp.  Somewhere around 6 months or so I wouldn't have to burp them much anymore.

  6. I burp all of mine until they do a burp.

  7. if you mean each time you burp them, until they burp.  But if you mean at what age can you stop.  When they sit upright on their own.

  8. until they burp, or vomit all over you. my son usually vomited.
