how long does it take for a card to get from one town to another that is like an hour and a half away.

it is usually 1 day, but might be more.

the card needs to go to a central post office with all other cards where they are sorted and put in containers to then be sent on to where they need to be delivered.  The timing is very critical as to when the card you mailed is picked up.....some post boxes are only picked up once per day (morning or evening), others are not picked up on weekends, etc.
