How Long does it take to obtain a tourist visa for Spain?

Me and my husband are going to Feuturaventura on september 17th, he rung the spanish embassy yesterday and the earliest appointment he could get was for the 12th september! Does anyone know how long it takes for them to process the Spanish Visa?

Good news !  If you are a USA citizen, no visa is required for a visit up to 90 days.  Be sure that your passport has at least six months remaining till its expiration.

If you are American, and you only intend to stay less than three months, all you need to do is take your passport...they stamp it when you enter the country.  That's your visa.  Nothing else required, unless you are staying longer, or you are from anyplace else.  Then, well, I only know the laws for the US.

A tourist visa isn't the only thing you should be getting, a passport is also now required by our Federal Law.
