I'm going to the USA vs Spain volleyball game on Saturday and it starts at 7pm but I'm not sure how long to expect it to last. What is the average?

  1. 1 hour mostly

  2. Rally scoring has made it fairly consistent at a point per minute for the winning team.  That means that it is normally around 25 minutes per set on an average.  If it goes 3-0, it will be around 1 1/2 hours.  If it goes the full 5, it will be around 2 1/2 hours.  If you are watching it live, you can expect 1 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 hours.  If it is tape delayed, they can chop it to any length they want.

  3. 1 hour

  4. Its best 3 out of 5. Each game depends on the competition. I would say it would be done at 8:30 or 9 at the EARLIEST.

    Have fun! Thats totally awesome!

  5. a volleyball game can last for a long time. They play best of five sets with each set going to 25 points except the last which goes to 15. in each set you have to be at least two points ahead to win. A set normally averages between 30 minutes and an hour

  6. About an hour, depending on how long it takes them to play, like if they mess up in any places, or if they're really good and win sooner...little things like that...but it's around an hour on average.

  7. Hard to say because volleyball is one of those games that doesn't end until someone wins.  Assuming a best 3 out of 5 set, assume about 30-45 minutes per game, so that would be somewhere between an hour and a half and three hours.  I know it's not precise, but I'd guess maybe closer to two hours.
