  1. I am looking at Crystal ball ! Looks like solar energy !

  2. Three fuels will play a mojor role in future and I have given then to you in the order of their applicability considering cost, relaibility and environmental aspects.

    1. Hydrogen (fuel cells)

    2. Solar energy

    3. Nuclear energy

  3. 1) For a very long time.

    2) Petroleum

  4. its gud question,

earth have petro fuels till next 25 years only,,,

if you will find any new resources then these world will never forget you...

  5. Cow dung, burns really well..

  6. I have heard that we will run out in the next 30 years or so. But who knows, if we keep consuming more and more maybe it will only be twenty.

  7. 2yrs ago da num. was 20 yrs......

bt now p pal like me n u(lol) care abt da future.....

so i think it will take like 22-27 yrs....

n do u know how long da coal will be availible on earth????

    only 150 yrs.........

  8. It's a bit tricky to predict.  There is clearly not an infinite supply, but you can go back to about 1910 and find magazine articles that predict that oil will run out within twenty years.  I've been reading them for years.

It won't be the end of the world when it happens: we're clever creatures and will find a way around it.

  9. There will allways be fossil fuels in the earth. It will just get more expensive to extract it as easy accesible fields run dry. We would have to go deeper to find it. It will allways be there, but will be out of reach economically.

But due to the effects on the environment our desire to use it will run out long before its accesibilty will.

  10. Potentially 100's of years.  The tar sands in Canada have as much oil as all of the crude oil in the world and oil shale in the US has 2 times as much as all of the crude oil in the world!  But there seems to be a lot of foot dragging...

I've spent a lot of time the last month or so on energy related issues, see below (working on nuclear now):

    Solar: http://www.friendlyinnovators.com/mn/200...

    Oil Shale: http://www.friendlyinnovators.com/mn/200...

  11. I think fuel like petrol may not be available not more than 50 years from now. the petrol may be replaced by natural gas which is cost effective and later electrically run vehicles may dominate.

  12. there are many research papers on this issue saying that if the consuption continues wit same rate, thn the fossil fuel resource will be empty wit in 4 to 5 decades. May be after that sources will be like solar energy, wind, energy from biomass etc.

  13. no oil fuel after 60 to 80 years.

Our biggest problem is lack of water and lack of automobile fuel.

Maybe 3rd world war will be waged for these reasons!

    PLEASE SAVE FUEL & WATER!

  14. Look at the recycle of the oil. It produces CO2 which is absorbed by the plants. They return the O2 quickly and hold on to the C  for it's food. The leaves are washed down to the delta where it decomposes into Oil that is from the plants. Our fossil fuel came from the plants not animal. So as long as we produce plenty of CO2 for the plants we will have oil forever.

  15. the simple truth is we just don't know oil company's all round the world are constantly looking for hidden oil reserves.my advice is change to green fuel a.s.a.p then you wont need to worry, leave that to the others.

  16. great question

but i think tht petro is non-reusable..

    so maybe..o about..iunno..another ...30 years maybe?

  17. 30 years or less every year new crude deposits get harder and harder to reach. At some point the cost of getting to the oil will exceed its worth.   I.E tar sand and oil shale where you don't just suck the oil out of the ground with a well but literally have to dig up an entire mountain and heat the rock to release the Kerogen which is refined into fuel. then put the rock back which then looks like c**p which is why they're both left for strategic reserve emergency fuel. The future electric cars for daily commutes ethanol or bio-diesel for trucks and long range vehicles. incidentally commercial bio-diesel is 80% vegetable oil cut with 20% ethanol this allows it to flow better.  you can never make a large truck electric there's too much weight and a car packed with batteries still won't go more than 300 miles. however most people don't drive more than 50 miles a day so a small electric vehicle is perfect.

  18. there is enough crude oil for another 100 years at least, and nobody can really predict the fuel of the future, but the increase in demand for energy and in world population must cause very substantial changes in the sources of energy we use.

  19. Petrol another 30 to 40  years, Coal another 90 to 100years.

If the world survives next 100 years, then probably the energy sources which are most likely to dominate will be:

    1. Nuclear

    2. Hydrogen

    3. Solar
