How Long will a seventeen-year-old be in jail for rape?

Will they be sent to jail, or to some other facility? Where can

I learn more about juvenile hall online (about meals, activities inmates do, facilities in the prison, visiting times for family, etc.)? I'm writing a short story about a kid who was sent to prison.

Depends on the state and the degree of the offense. At 17, it is a good chance the person would be tried as an adult. As such, they would likely get the adult sentence which could be many years. They would go to juvy until 18 then be transferred to a regular prison.

Let's all hope he's there until he's too old to rape again, or that they legalize castration for rapists.  Sadly, he could be out in as little as 2 years.  

"Jail" is for people serving less than one year.  He will be sent to "prison" for sure.

Inmates usually get TV, decent food, lots of exercise, weekly family visits, and lots of anal rape by other inmates.  I'm not sure why manly gangsta types turn g*y as soon as they get behind bars, but they do.

hopefully they get tried as an adult and kept in for a very long time, he should be castrated also this stuff makes me so sick!!

Actually he's going to jail for punishment... the rape is a bonus.
