I am considering applying to an ivy league school how many AP Tests should I Take?

  1. There's no exact number you are required to take, but you should try as many as possible to save your parents or yourself money on tuition. Go for at least one test in each academic subject though to show you're well-rounded.

  2. It depends on what college you're accepted into. Ivy League's accept only 5's and only accept them for certain subjects. If you know what schools you're applying to, search their website to see what scores they accept. By spring semester, if you still don't know where you're going, you can still just pay to take the exam to be on the safe side and opt out later (you'll lose some $$, but each college varies and to be safe just take the course).

  3. That number depends on what you're interested in academically and what's available to you at your school.  I ended up taking 10 AP classes and 7 of the tests (I knew that the college I was attending didn't offer credit for three of them, even if I got a 5, so I decided not to take them), and I got into an Ivy League school, but that number doesn't automatically get you in, nor does taking less automatically mean that you won't get it.
