  1. Publically and reported privately she shared a lot, at the time of her life I didn't realize how special she was until years after her death.

  2. Traveler.I think you are being rather harsh on her.She was very young at the time of her marriage and it certainly didn't help knowing that her husband not only had an affair with an old flame but that he even slept with her on the eve of their wedding. The Princess never started her extra marital flings, until Prince Charles had well and truly destroyed all but a thin thread that held the marriage together.I haven't beatified Diana and there is much truth in what you say but,she was pushed to the brink and possibly did the wild things in retaliation for the way she was being treated not only by Prince Charles but by the other family members and the royal court.I don't know,I wasn't there and can only go by what I have read and read between the lines too.Thumbs up for your contribution though.

  3. Princess Diana was so loved by the world because she cared about things that royals usually don't even think about. She was a tireless supporter of AIDS related causes, land mines, the homeless, womens and childrens rights, and even refused to wear fur. She lent her name and her fame to help causes that might otherwise have been neglected or forgotten.

She brought her children to areas in England that were inhabitated by homeless to teach her children that not everything in the world is perfect.

Having seen her when she was at the Field Museum in Chicago, when she arrived the whole place went crazy and she couldn't have been more gracious and warm. Her smile radiated throughout and took time to shake hands and talk to people on her way up the stairs.

10 years after her death, she is still remembered, missed and loved. In all our hearts, she will always be THE PEOPLE'S PRINCESS!!!!

  4. Apparently, as a young girl, and young woman, she always had the dream of becoming the princess.  So- we know that she's at least a bit narcissistic and shallow.

  5. Although Diana's good deeds were for the most part certainly orchestrated as part of a public relations ploy to upstage her estranged husband, she did seize on many trends for helping worthy causes:  Most notably, she 1) visited AIDS-HIV patients and was one of the first public figures to touch them; 2) her campaign against land mines brought world-wide publicity to a previously overlooked cause, and 3) she also took up the cause of animal rights.  Whether or not she would have continued to support these causes, or others, over a longer time span is anybody's guess, but she certainly did lend her glamor to charity work.

  6. Diana did so many good thing's we    only     heard of a few but she did more than any other royal, she was so loving and caring and a truly loving person.

  7. Diana used her status to campaign against landmines, a cause which won the Nobel Prize in 1997 , and with helping to decrease discrimination against victims of AIDS. Diana also made visits to show kindness to the sick.

She actually used her status and money to great things. A thing that sooo many should and could do - but don't. She was and always will be a great woman.

  8. she had a lot of problems, did she help any mental people?

  9. She was an egotistical, self serving woman who was deeply in love with herself !

  10. She did a lot of caring things, she shared her love to so many.

  11. She cared for so many of the people who nobody else did.

She was the one, as far as I am concerned, who really got the world seeking out what they could do for poverty-stricken countries. She was the epitome of what a true "lady" should be.

Many, many people reaped the benefits of her grander

    She is sorely missed.

  12. The Princess did countless things, and used her image as a Princess to benefit those who weren't as fortunate.

At a very young age she was in the public eye, and some would say that Diana was one of the original superstars, just when the media started having their paparazzi leanings.

Her legacy still lives on and her charities still touch people after her death.

What made Diana more approachable was the fact that she was flawed.  She was far from perfect, but people could relate to that.

I respect the monarchy in my home country, but the best PR that they ever had was Diana Princess of Wales, and she's given us her two children to carry on the monarchy into the new millennium.

  13. I dont believe that many

  14. None it was all a stunt to promote her image

  15. I think Bert got it right

  16. 156,796,246,121

  17. She certainly warmed some men's beds to whom she wasn't married.   She made a mockery of the monarchy with her buddy Fergie, and helped to destroy that marriage as well as her own.

She was allowed her "charities" and directed by the palace what she could and could not do.  She made faces in public showing her disdain of her husband, her role as a Princess of England and her boredom with the "whole thing".  What a spoiled, selfish brat she was.  Her lack of self control eventually contributed to her death, as well.  She could have, and should have told the driver to "slow down" and should have worn a seat belt.  But she was too self-absorbed to do such human things.

  18. She made people feel good about themselves and she did a lot more than all the other royals put together.

  19. She is publicly seen as saintly as Mother Theresa, but I doubt she really was...  She was never in any danger, like so many true saviors whose names are unknown.  It was all SHOW...
