How Many Ibuprofen to O.D.?

I want to take as many ibuprofen as I can without over-dosing or going into a coma. I'm a teenager, and the ibuprofen I have is only 200 mg. BUT, I am roughly 5'11" and 118-ish lbs. So, how many ibuprofen, max, can I take in one go? Meaning.. one right after the other, not spread throughout the day?

Ok first of all why would you want to take as many ibuprofen that you could take at one time before o-ding.

Ibuprofen takes away any pain, cramps etc and one sleep better. Therefore it’s used big time. And ever since it’s become available over-the-counter, Ibuprofen Overdose has become a common phenomenon. If you or anyone you know have taken Ibuprofen overdose and everything feels fit and okay, you still need to go and see a doctor. The symptoms may not show right now but the overdose may show signs in the long run.

Consequences of Ibuprofen overdose: According to research institutes, Ibuprofen overdose damages your internal organs like liver. While in some cases it has been reported that it has result in a permanent liver damage, in other cases where the victim was taking the dose for a long and continued period it has resulted in organ failure one by one.

Some more side effects are unsteadiness, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, gastrointestinal, nausea plus vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, probable loss of blood in intestinal areas or stomach or both, headache, agitation, drowsiness, incoherence and confusion etc. Sometimes more serious symptoms are also noticed in some victims though very rare such as seizure, gastrointestinal bleeding, metabolic acidosis, respiratory depression, hyperkalaemia, tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, coma, hepatic dysfunction, renal failure, cyanosis, and cardiac arrest etc. Until and unless the victim is allergic to ibuprofen, there is a slim chance that the victim would die from Ibuprofen Overdose.

Ibuprofen Overdose can cause stinking vomiting, profuse sweating, severe abdominal pain, and can land you straight in the mental hospital for attempted suicide, where you may be medicated with things like liquid carbon or charcoal. Charcoal has the ability to absorb the drug before it can enter the systemic circulation. Another form of treatment to fight Ibuprofen overdose is gastric lavage which is not very popular, but is considered if the intake is potentially life threatening. This treatment can be performed within 60 minutes of ingestion of Ibuprofen.

It is not possible to determine a precise dose that crosses the danger line as it varies from person to person depending upon his/her weight, age and medical record of the individual patient.

Your question is not even a good one.  Unlike narcotics, ibuprophen will not even get you high.  And no, you wouldnt even get to enjoy a coma.  Your liver will shut down and you will die.  Dont even make the the attempt.  And please, seek help.  Call a suicide hotline.

I would only take what was recomended and if it doesnt work try a new medicine. If you have too though I would only go 1 over the limit. So if it says 2 per 6 hour period I'd take 3.

ibprofen dont work for me but just take one and then 6 hours later if you still have a headache or pain take another one and that should do the trick

i take about 4 or 5 a day when needed.

you need like 12 to really od on that.

BE VERY CAREFULL  prolonged usage or ibuprofen is KNOWN to cause stomach ulcers my sister used to take it for a torn acl and not every time she get sick and pukes , she vomits up blood  i really wouldn't suggest it

but otherwise 200s i usually take 5, but I'm kinda resistant so painkillers Novocaine doesn't effect me at all, i hate going to the dentist...

Honestly your question freaks me out! Why would you want to do this to your body? You are talking about killing your liver (if not yourself)something you are going to want or the rest of your life. Just don't take more than the recommended dose on the bottle it is not safe.

Ibuprofen only comes in 200mg over the counter.  You shouldn't exceed 2400mg in 24 hours.  That means taking 4 every 8 hours or 2 every 4 hours.  If I were you, (and I'm assuming you don't have the money to see a doctor to fix the underlying problem)  I would take two ibuprofen, then two tylenol two hours later.  Alternate that while you're awake.  don't take more than that.

Got that...2 ibuprofen...two hours later 2 tylenol..."rinse, lather, repeat"

200mg...after 4 hours take another 200mg. that would be fine... I guess.  Actually, this doesn't work for me. When I'm in pain especially headache, I take 500mg of mefenamic acid in one dose. And another one after 4 hours.

Why?  You want to take as many as you can without ODing?  You want to risk serious liver damage?  

I think you need to talk to someone, maybe a trusted adult, someone that will listen to you and try to help you because wanting to do that is not normal...oh, and eat a cookie for pete's sake!
