  1. How big it the tank you'll be keeping them in. Only one gecko could be kept in a 10 and 20 gallon but you could put two in a 30 gallon.

Do you know what gender your gecko is now? If it turns out to be a male and the new gecko is a male they will fight and could kill each other or loose tails. One also may get to be more dominate and get more food then the other. It will also stress the other out.

Leopard geckos are solitary and do best alone.

  2. It's really tough to determine gender in baby animals.

A 20 L. will be cramped for two adult Leos and territory/aggression issues could arise.  Two males will fight, resulting in injury and sometimes death.  Two females can also fight if they feel cramped.  I would suggest a 30 gal. L for two.

So, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you are prepared to separate them in the event you have 2 males; or a pair (one female with a single male is not enough - he will harrass and bully her, as well as breed her when she's too young/small); or two females who begin to fight as they grow into adults.

Average length for a single adult Leo is 9-10".

Enjoy your pet, and I hope this has been helpful.
