  1. honey dale jr embarrassed the name of nascar

  2. changed the channel, changed it back to see who won.

    Jimmie Johnson's the man

  3. was unable to watch the race because where I live both the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 are " blacked out. "

However, feel as though the main concern of everyone connected with racing in any form should be SAFETY FIRST.

personally feel there have been so many deaths involved in the racing profession that anything to make any type of racing safer would be a great progress.

  4. I'm sorry, NASCAR embarrassed the name of NASCAR...

  5. Well, they kind of did for us! You know, when parts of it blacked out..

  6. Never turned it on 4 the race, I was there!  And Nascar saved the race by fling 1600 more tires to Indy.  The issue wasn't the tires alone but the combination of the new COT car and the track .

The new COT car has so much down force and add to it  the diamond cut surface track, well that put a much more harsher abuse to the Good Year tire that it simply could not handle a long run.  About 10 laps and the tires needed replaced.

Two thumbs up to Nascar getting more tires, without that move the race would of ended early due to lack of tires.

  7. NASCAR needed to get Jimmy Johnson and Hendrick a win.  Wasn't really a tire problem, only NASCAR gave Jimmy and Carl better tires and they didn't have to worry about blowing a tire.

  8. I didn't but it was the worst race I've ever seen. I kept thinking it would get better, but it didn't.

  9. I must admit it did suck with all those cautions but JImmie was dominating the whole race, i knew he was going to win, so no i didn't turn it off. GO 48

  10. It was strange I will admit, but I was beginning to think I was at the local track with 12 lap heats going on.. We didn't watch all of it we went in  between baseball and the race. But atleast we saw some good restarts.. Hope the right tires show up in Pocono..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  11. I thought I was watching a World of Outlaws event.Ever 10 or so laps caution then the green.Felt like I was a a Saturday night dirt track.

  12. I left it on but I also came in here posting questions about Mike Helton's mustache and the pace car getting the bonus points for leading the most laps.

  13. The fans think it sucked!!!!

  14. i think espn was doing that for us

  15. Nascar is embarassing in general, no help needed.  Especially in the current oil/economy crisis.  What a waste of fuel.  I think of nascar everytime school taxes go up to cover the busses.

  16. It was a very sad situation but I watched it because I am a big fan. NASCAR needs to tell Indianapolis that they need to resurface that monstrosity or they will take their show elsewhere...............brickyard or no brickyard, that surface is a joke!!

  17. Not me.  When you are passionate about something like racing, you have to accept the good with the bad.  Just a bad combination of things that need to be worked out with new equipment, etc.  If you were embarrassed, perhaps you are not passionate about the sport.  Sorry you were so disappointed.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  18. I turned it off on lap 14 out of disgust by Harvick's continuing horrible luck this season. After I cooled down I turned it back on with 100 to go. Although I kind of wish I hadn't. That was just sad.... Between the tires and competition cautions, I feel for the people who actually paid to see that "race".

But hey, what can ya do. It's done and over with. The drivers will still be racing next week and the true fans will still be watching Nascar.

  19. i was there....... it was not the best race, but hey it was racing...... the good the bad and the ugly....... i already reserved my sets for next year indy race........

  20. Not me because Im still and always will be a loyal fan.  Considering this is the first time something like this has happened I believe a 99% accuracy rate is pretty good.

TIme to get over it and move on.  The earth still rotates on its axis today.

    Have a nice day!

  21. It just shows that nascar, and goodyear, do not do their homework.  I'm glad that I have a swimming pool, and a well stocked refridgerator with cold beer.

On a side note, I never hear the open wheel guys complaining about their Firestones.  Or ARCA guys complaining about their Hoosiers.  Maybe nascar and goodyear should take some notes from those guys!

  22. It was pretty bad. I just hit record on my DVR, put my bikini on and enjoyed the sun in my pool. Figured I could just hit Fast Forward during the commercials and cautions when I came in for the night, instead of wasting sunlight inside watching a p*ss poor race when the water felt so good!

  23. I thought it was embarrassing.  I did turn the channel which I NEVER do.  But I'm loyal and I'll be watching next week.

  24. NASCAR itself has become somewhat of an embarassment .  I keep up with things, but hardly ever watch a race.

  25. I still watched it despite the tire debacle.
