How Many People Are There In The UK Who Keep Being Disconnected By There ISP?

The Reason I Ask Is Because Every Time I Leave My PC Downloading Off The Internet, My Broadband Internet Connection Deos Not Work., Does Anyone Else Have This Problem. And If Not Who Is Your Internet Service Provider.

We had this problem & so did the bro-in-law. He rang them to complain & they said that if you download to much between certain times they drop it for abit. The times they told him were 6 - 11pm. We stopped downloading between those times & the internet has worked fine ever since!

Condolences,dude!  I get that in America...so you are not the Lone Ranger!  They regularly overload at noon and peak times...ISP may shake people off to make room for "newly-ons".

my isp is bt broadband,every night between 2200/2300 i get disconnected until about 4am,when i approached bt i was told this cannot happen,but it does,it would appear that AOL is the one to be with

I got this for a while using utorrent, I have discovered it is because I had the download rate set to high (its max with our line is 2Mb) apparently the router was bombing out when it reached its max as it was getting to many hits, I dropped the download rate to the lower setting (1mb) and it has been working fine ever since.

All the time while using a wireless router.  Dumped the router,  hard wired ethernet direct to  modem,  no problems at all since.
