  1. Nope...just dechlorinate the water you add before it gets to the tank, and then only once. In the space between the bucket and the tank, there's no way for new chlorine or chloramine to get into the water.

  2. You only need to dechlorinate the water, when you add new water to the tank.  You're dechlorinating the water out of the tap, and that's assuming you're on a public water supply that uses chlorine and/or chloramines to disinfect the water.

  3. well, once water is procesed and in your tnak, its done.... for water changes and top-ups, you should put the water in buckets..... add the right amount of dechlorinator, and let it sit out in the open for 24hrs. this is the best way to do it [well, in my opinion atleast =p]

  4. You have to dechlorine every week or everytime u clean the tank...

can u help answer my question...

  5. You should have to dechlorinate your water only once. After that you will need to re-test your water for other things such as nitrates, ammonia, nitrites, and PH levels. Most pet stores sell water testing kits and guide books to help you with that. Your tank need time to do what is called "cycling" before you can have too many fish in your tank. It is basically getting good bacteria to grow in your tank which will help balance the chemical levels in your fish tank.
