How Many appetisers for a formal after dinner dance for 100 people?

The dance starts at 7 pm. and they people hosting the party said after an hour to pull them so they are no there ll night long. So these will only be there for about an hour there are 200 planned to attend but with this being a club most don't show up right at opening.

Account for 3 appetizers per guest + 10%.  The previous answer would be more accurate if there was not to be dinner served and it was only a night of heavy appetizers.

I read somewhere... allow 6-8 appetizers per person, and account for the situation. After or before dancing? I assume you have the recipe prepared... So make about 720 appetizers, with margin for extras.

I would have 6-8 appetizers per person plus 10% extra, so that would put it at around 800 pieces total.

Did you mean appetizers or hor d'ouevres?  I stated 6-8 since the food will be served during a dance and in my experience people eat more at a dance, no matter how much they eat at dinner!  Plus, I would rather have more than enough food than run out half way through.  If there are too many leftovers, consider taking them to a soup kitchen or church function.
