  1. I would guess 4, not sure.  But that's only if you do everything right the first time.

  2. 4 for a B.A. then 2 for a M.A./M.S. "thaths where I'm at now"...Then another 3-6 years for a PhD...Only 5 yrs left for me, "c**p"

  3. That will depend on you, your motivation, your adviser, the field, and the topic.  Some can be done in as little as 3 years; others average 6 and a half or more (not counting the bachelors degree).  Plan to spend at least 10 years in college.

  4. USC Marshall " Frequently Asked Questions

  5. It takes four years to get a BA or BS and an additional four to eight to get a PhD.  Those in technical fields usually finish more quickly than those in the arts.

The PhD usually involved three years of classes.

There is usually a written preliminary exam at the end of the second year (mine was two days long).

There is usually an oral exam some time in the third year.

After the exams and classes are done, you have to write a dissertation.  I started mine at the beginning of my second year and finished at the end of my fourth year.  Many people take longer.  Most people never finish it.

  6. after high school it varies.  I've seen as little as 7 and as many as 20 and counting.
