How Much Are Improv Workshops In Chicago? Like Second City, Or IO?

I Just want to know how much these classes go for, and how long they last for and what not. Also if you know anything about UCB workshops that would be helpful too. I just want to take workshops and then audition to be in the cast at these theaters, and get paid to do improv. Is this a good route to take?

Second City's 8-week beginning class is $270.  

I admire your ambition; however, it's not as easy as just taking a few classes, auditioning, and then you start making money.
