How Much Do Pilot Lessons Cost?

Roughly how much wouyld pilot lessons cost to learn to fly a small aircraft? Thank-you!

There no one cost, my instructor charges 27 per hour but I've heard over 60, plus what aircraft you choose to fly it can range from  a Cessna  150 for around 75 an hour or a cirrus for 250 an hour plus depends what the gas prices are at your airport and whether they rent wet, which include gas or dry which doesn't

That depends on where you live and fly.

Back in 1992 when took pilot lesson, it cost me $65 in NJ.  But at the same time, it cost $100 in NYC area.

When I took lessons at a flying club, a while back, the c-150 was $13 hr and the instructor was $8 hr.   No idea what they cost now with the price of gas.

For a private pilot certificate at the school I went to, it's now $160 for a Piper with an instructor.  Bare minimum for a private certificate is 40 hours, so $6400 as a bare minimum.  Factor in extra time needed to practice, books, supplies, headsets, tests, etc. and $8000-9000 is probably a better estimate.  But, prices vary across the country.  I'd call up your local flight school and ask them for an estimate.  Add 25% to the cost they tell you to be safe though ;-)
