The gas prices will have to start coming down or people will start freaking out. They won't be able to buy gas to get to work and do things of that sort, and the economy will go into a downfall.

The recent surge in volatility in the price of oil makes this impossible to predict.

It's all about supply and demand.  Even though demand is going lower, if there is perception that supply is dipping, the price could still go up.  Perception is reality, even if it isn't true.

For example, just a few factors that will change the price of oil now, and going forward:

1) depends on what other countries do (or don't do) to curb the demand for oil.

2) Depends on whether the US decides to tap into its reserves.

I don't think we will go another 3 years like this... at this rate... There's going to be a revolution. If they freaked out in Boston years ago because the tax on tea, I can only imagine what the future holds.

If we are still paying gas prices 3 years from now i imagine it to be around 7-8 dollars a gallon. Who wants that?

In the next 3 years gas prices might be control if the presidents do the right thing. But in the mean time,  According to the media, gas prices are going to be 5 dollars by the end of summer. Therefore we must learn to economize and save. For example, walk to certain close locations instead of drivng, along with encouraging my family and friends to do the same or you can take the bus or train. However there are other solutions than buying a hydro-car, I happen to have done some research on the topic and found where this guy Oliver South convereted his BMW to water gas fuel. He has a video that shows step by step how anyone can do this. There is also a review website that I found in my research that covered  a few other companies that are doing the same thing.
