  1. $1,000 USD should be enough for 6 days... but make sure you bring an extra $500, and credit cards..just in case.

if you're bringing in your credit cards, make sure to call them and let them know you might be using them in the philippines.

  2. Go there for the first time, you will have a culture shock...even with an open mind...you will still have a shock.

    No offense to anyone...

No money will be ever enough unless you will limit yourself.

My suggestion is that you either have someone there you can trust or limit yourself within the resort for the first time...you will understand what i mean...once you come back.

Before I forget, everything outside the resort is negotiable.

Make sure you have a small calculator so you can translate their peso into your currency or you will notice that things are more expensive there then in you own country. That is why a local trusted person is necessary.

Like any countries you visit...remember..you are always the foreigner and the locals can spot you few miles away...common sense is vital anywhere you go.

Enjoy your trip.... (i did enjoy mine)

    Cheer

  3. like everyone else, take $1,000 in cash, then separate them in 5 - $200 envelopes. When needed, take an envelope and exchange it for pesos.

If you need any more money, cuz you will... either to buy stuff or to have some more fun, you could always use your credit cards from an ATM machine. just go to a mall - walk around until you find an ATM machine. call your credit card company when you will leave and return home and where you will be going.

Taxis will be around 200+ pesos any way you go in the city. When going in, tell him you want metered, otherwise, he will forget and rip you off. if the taxi driver says its broken or hassles you, smile and leave and find another one.

A nice meal will be around a few hundred pesos, still cheap compared to US prices. Estimated - breakfast 200 pesos - lunch 500 pesos - dinner 500+ pesos. Course if you want to go local, the price drastically drops.

Cebu is nicer than Manila, my experience is that taxi drivers are more honest. Cleaner city. Less polluted.

From Cebu you could take a ride to Bohol and just relax on one of its beaches.

    Same advice applies to Cebu.

It should only cost less than 2,000 pesos to fly to Cebu via cebu pacific. probably cheaper because there's always discounts.

almost forgot, always have toilet paper on you. a lot of places won't have them available when you need it the most. it's funny, but i'm serious.

  4. 1. One fiancee will cost you nothing, save for a $10,000/year dowry from her very large and needy family

    2. Two fiancees will run you the above amount plus an STD or two. If you have medical insurance, then you'll only feel the occsssional annoying rashy breakouts.

    3. Three fiancees will cost you your member on a stick, courtesy of the three very lucky women who will operate on you simultaneously once they put two and two together.

    Have fun!

  5. it depends how many fiance's you will get in those 6 days.

  6. it depends on how you will spend.you can have fun in less than $300.

  7. For shopping, eating and transportation, I'd say around 400USD is more than enough, unless you are buying expensive items.

As for the fun, tourist spots and bars. Well, that can go as high as you want it to go. I suggest putting a cap at 1,000USD

  8. well if your just going for women then depends on how you act,but if your going to have a nice vacation my wife is from there and we go every year with like $1000 and it is plenty for us and we stay 2-3 weeks. If you go 1 week and wanna be like the typical guy over there then I still think your ok with $1000 USD.

Right now the currency rate is $1 USA=44.0073PHP which is their Peso. Daily updates on that can be found at www.xe.com
