Im leaving for RTC in Great Lakes on September 23rd 2008, and im wanting to know how much money i should expect to have from my direct deposit once i graduate and goto "A" school? I will be going in as an E-1, and boot camp lasts for 9 weeks. Is there any deductions i should know about? Im just trying to get a good idea as to how much or little cash i will have available to me once i graduate.

  1. Congratulations on joining up!

You get full monthly pay as an E-1.  So for the two months, you'll get $2491.80.  When you first arrive at Basic Training, you'll have to buy some basic things from the base exchange - deodorant, underwear, etc; the Drill Sgts like everyone to be exactly the same.  You'll receive a debit card with $250 on it; whatever you use of that $250 will come out of your pay.

Good luck, and remember it's just a mind game!

  2. roughly 3,250 dollars....give or take a little.

  3. lets see so you get paid roughly 600 every 2wks before taxes boot camp is 8 weeks I'd say about 2400 before taxes?? maybe? I'm not sure
