  1. There are a number of books that analyze the Da Vinci Code and separate fact from fiction.

Some groups believe there were descendents but little proof to support most of the "story".

  2. None. It was a rip off of an earlier theory, in another fiction book..

    But it was fun...

  3. Im pretty sure most of it is theory.

  4. not very much was real fact. alot of it came from different theories and alot of fiction was used to blend the theories together.

  5. No, it was all just fiction.

  6. There was no truth to it at all. It's all a bunch of theories derived from a document that was found somewhere, but proven by historians to be false.

Dan Brown's the only man in this "group" that support these theories. I'll be honest with you, I believe the Mary Magdalene thing more than I believe that Jesus was crucified as a virgin. Whether I'm religious or not doesn't matter. He was a man! A MAN! His hormones started when he was thirteen, and a man's sexual drive isn't going to diminish based on whether he's holy, son-of-god or not. Science has proven otherwise.

It was a great book though, although the lack of character development and the YA-ish voice sometimes got in the way.

  7. the only thing that is reality is that it is based on a conspiracy theory, otherwise all the rest of it is false. Obviously the conspiracy is most likely false, look it up some more your self if you want the conspiracy it is found within conspiritoryal groups such as opus dei, and if you want to know more about the holy grail thing just look up holy grail  conspiracy, the knights templar or The Priory of Sion. And of course any great conspirtor knows that Opus dei and the Priory of Sion are fudeing rligions groups/cults that belive in very strange things, you should check them out sometime, rather interesting what conspiricies float around those groups of people.

  8. No truth at all it was even a blasphemy to Jesus Christ

  9. There may be some pieces that are true but the overall idea is overdone. PBS did an excellent series on the activities of the Church in those dark days, and there were some very bad things going on, but it was kind of a mixed bag with many local rulers doing most of the dirty work. And of course there have been a number of corrupt Popes along the way.

If you want to read something a lot more substantial, I would recommend this: http://gospelenigma.com It's free, entertaining and gives some real insights in Church history and theological manipulation. It's in a fun and easy format... and for me it rings very true.
