i started baby-siting at 12 years old for these kids that i've known since they were born. not many people want to hire baby-sitters of your age. so if you have a baby-siting job already  than you do not want to push it. if they are going to be gone for only a little bit than charge by the hour ($3-$5) and if you babysit while they are at work all day then $20-$30 for the whole time.
