How Much Vicodin in a Day is too much?

Im taking 8-10 Norco 10/325 Daily and the doctor has me on the "as needed" Im also on a 75 mcg Duragesic patch...Any Thoughts?

Your feeling pretty good ain't ya. You shouldn't take more than 8 Vicodin in a 12 hr time period. But since your on a Duragesic Patch, I would follow the Dr.s recommendation. It only takes one time of too much of anything, to be too much. Your liver can only process so much at one time. Over load it's capacity, and you can O.D. Do what your Dr. says.

Take it as the doctor prescribed. Do not take it more than prescribed as this drug can be habit-forming. Speak with your doctor first.  

This product contains APAP (Tylenol/acetaminophen), which should not be taken more than 1000mg every 6 hours or more than 4000mg over the course of 24 hours. The amount should be even lower if you have any prior liver damage.  If you are taking more than 4 tablets of norco 10/325 within a 6 hour period then you are overdosing on the acetaminophen and this can be toxic to your liver. Also of note, read labels carefully and avoid taking any other medications that also include acetaminophen before speaking to your doctor.
