Just out of curiosity, how much does an R Judge make per horseshow, let's say an A or B-rated, weekend long hunter/jumper show (Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) in the US? Thanks!

  1. usually anywhere between $250 to $3500. I do not know how much judges get at say Quarter Horse Congress or Quarter Horse WOrld (or vice versa for paint, arab or appy, ect)

  2. It depends on the show and it depends on the judge...

  3. Well, i don't really know what an R judge is, but a few hundred. I hired a judge for 250 for a one day open show, but he opted to to it for free for our shcolarship fund.    Anywhere from 300-600. depending on the circuit, if it is one. Like i said , i don't do hunter/jumper. sorry.

  4. it depends on their rating. if it is a small r or a big r?

  5. my uncle use to be a judge and got about 700 a show.

  6. You have a really good question, and the answer (I think) will depend a great deal on location.  In our area a three day show pays from $750 to $1500 depending on the judges experience.  All expenses are paid for the judge including air fare, meals, transportation etc.
