How Much is my 1968 penny worth?

Its not normal, on the brim of the Lincoln side where In God We Trust is it pops out toward you pretty far, and its 1968-D... anyone know??

  7. Allowing for inflation, it is probably worth about one quarter of one cent.

  9. The copper is worth more than the monetary value but it's illegal to destroy money unless you're a government agency and can reprint or recoin it out of cheaper materials.

  10. Most likely it was damaged after it left the mint. In the case of so-called error coins a photo is worth a thousand words. It needs to be seen by a coin dealer or an advanced collector. All anyone can do here is issue a guess without seeing it, which does not really answer your question.
