Any property tax credit or refund depends on your exact circumstances and the rules of your state.

Not sure how IN does it, but in Michigan you have to fill out a form MI-CR and enter your taxable value, your property taxes assessed and your HOUSEHOLD income.  From there, you calculate any refund that you might get all based on your income and the taxes you paid.

People don't usually get refunds on their property taxes. Did you pay too much, for some reason?

If so, wouldn't your refund just be the amount that you overpaid?
