How Much would a passport cost?

I plan on taking a trip to Canada HOPEFULY by the end of the summer and I was wondering how much a passport would cost. I live in the US, btw. If that makes any diffrence on the payment enless it's all the same.

Canadians don't know how much American passports cost.  You do realize that as an American you need an American passport, right?  Call your own passport agency.

I believe it costs $90... but I think that's only if it's lost and you just want to renew it..

Are you planning on making a completely new one?

You got somestrange answers. American Passport costs exactly $100.00.  You can get  ALL passport application info and print out the forms at the ssite below.  Then click on the words,

"where to apply.." in blue print to find the nearest place to submit your application. You must have a pssport to FLY to Canada.  But, if you will be travelling by LAND, passports are not needed until June 2009.  See 2nd site and read carefully to see that if you are travelling by land, you will need a photo I.D. and a proof of citizenship...EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate.

If you are an American, you have to get an American passport, not Canadian.  I paid about $120 with taxes for mine, so, I guess it would be about the same for yours.
