How New Jersey Devils can bounce back in Game 4 against Los Angeles Kings -NHL Stanley Cup Special
New Jersey Devils are definitely in the worse possible position when it comes to an intense competition like the Stanley Cup Finals and that too against a team like Los Angeles Kings, but no matter what critics might be saying, there are still ways for the
Eastern Conference champions to make a comeback.
"I think every team that's down 3-0 will have the same speech," Brodeur said after their 4-0 loss in Game 4 when asked how they are going to comeback. "It's not new. We're looking at this as one game at a time, like everybody will tell you in the last 20
years or so.
"It's not the best situation. It's probably the worst situation you can be in -- no, it is the worst situation you can be in. We just have to put our head down and work hard. We believe in ourselves. We're going to compete as hard and the result will be
there one way or the other."
Here are some ways that New Jersey Devils can make a historic comeback in Game 4 of the 2012 National Hockey League (NHL) Stanley Cup Finals:
Take an Early Lead
The only way New Jersey Devils can secure their victory is to score early and just keep on trying until they do. Maintaining that lead will be the other part of the equation because Los Angeles Kings are renowned for their ability to make a late comeback
and win.
For this to happen, Devils’ defenders will need to guard the net with Martin Brodeur with everything they have got because it is a matter of life or death and there is no plan ‘B’ in this case.
Tire out Jonathan Quick
Tiring out Jonathan Quick will not be easy at all to do but Devils will need to constant shoot the puck at every chance they get in order to make the goalie work for his money. Up until now, Devils have shot the puck less than Los Angeles but now, the situation
calls for players to use their sticks like never before.
Martin Brodeur needs to Shutout LA
Martin Brodeur has been playing up-to-par in the series so far, it is just the offence that is lacking. But now, he needs to shutout Los Angeles is they hope on winning. It will require everything the veteran goalie has but now is the time to do so.
Game 4 is set to start on Wednesday night, 8:00 PM ET at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.
